Welcome,
If you are reading this, you may be the very concerned parent, friend, spouse or sibling of someone struggling with an eating disorder and all of it’s complicating conditions and challenges. You are trying to make sense of this confounding and terrible disease but aren’t sure what the next steps should be, and what to expect along the way. Most families find themselves in crisis having to make sudden and difficult decisions about their loved one’s care. You may have received excellent recommendations from your loved one’s treatment professionals, however, it can be overwhelming to sort through different program information to determine the relative merits of suggested options.
After more than a decade of working with families, clients and professionals to help patients gain admission not just to the treatment facilities I represented, but to programs across the country best suited to their needs, I became convinced families, patients, professionals and programs need more guidance and support to navigate the treatment and recovery process. They need TLC, resources, creative ideas and a plan to pull it all together. They need someone to hold their hands and help find a path to strength and wellness.
Were I in your shoes, this is what I would want and need. This is what I want you to have.
